I draw inspiration from the different Pacific Northwest ecosystems to do gouache paintings of the local birds that call these habitats their home. I grew up exploring the mountains and valleys around my house where I developed a intense interest and deep love for the different bird species that changed as each season came and went. Having a dad who shared this love we spent countless hours traveling around the state birdwatching. Having a mom as a professional artist we spent the hours I was not outside exploring sitting around a table doing art as a family, and birds became the main thing I choose to draw from childhood. This love of painting birds continues to be my main creative outlet as I dive deep into the joy of studying the fine detail of different species to create a realistic depiction of their plumages and capture their unique personality.

This flour sack kitchen towel features my original black and white artwork of an American Kestrel in flight with a light orange background to reflect the rufous tones of this birds plumage. This small yet fearsome falcon has some of the most colorful plumage of any North American raptor and I highly encourage you to look up photos of this bird to see it in its full color splendor.

19" Width x 28" Height

100% cotton flour sack fabric

reusable and washable

Direct to Garment (DTG) printing in the USA

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1118/2992/files/IMG_7628_f516e3ca-e4b9-464e-8c60-f8c2c94d75b7.heic?v=1793684606
https://www.thebowlmaker.com/products/american-kestrel-with-orange-background-tea-towel-by-sunswamp-studios
